Mobile Trailer Mechanic
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £45,000 – £47,000+ DOE (with potential to earn significantly more depending on call outs)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hours)
Call-Out Pattern: 24 hour call outs including weekends (alternating weeks)
Role Type: Permanent
Van: Fully equipped van provided (technician supplies own tools)
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Mobile HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a roadside support team covering Bournemouth and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on role carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and breakdown support directly at the roadside.
Key Responsibilities (HGV Technician / Mobile HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic)
Provide roadside assistance and emergency repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
Carry out repairs safely and efficiently to industry standards
Communicate with the control centre and customers throughout the process
Ensure all repair documentation and reports are completed accurately
Represent the roadside service with professionalism at all times
What We’re Looking For
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Mobile HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds qualification or equivalent experience
Strong diagnostic and problem?solving skills
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential)
Ability to work independently, including call-out weeks
