HGV Technician
Location: Cross Hands
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000+
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shifts: 06:00–14:30 and 14:00–22:30 (rotating)
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Cross Hands. You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles in line with UK legislation and manufacturer standards, while benefiting from continuous technical training and development.
Key Responsibilities (HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter)
Service, maintain, and repair HGVs, LGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
Complete inspections, service sheets, and compliance documentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional workshop environment
Communicate with wider teams and customers when required
Apply technical training to ensure high?quality workmanship
What We’re Looking For
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds or 3+ years’ experience
Strong diagnostic and problem?solving skills
Professional, dependable, and safety?focused approach
Driving licence preferred (car or HGV)
