LCV Technician

Location: Caerphilly and surrounding areas
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Hours: Alternate shifts – 6am to 2pm / 13:30pm to 10pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Join a busy, modern commercial vehicle workshop near Caerphilly as an experienced LCV Technician. You’ll work a rotating shift pattern with excellent overtime rates for Saturdays. This role offers ongoing training and progression working on a wide range of light commercial vehicles including the latest electric models.

Responsibilities of LVC Technician:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on light commercial vehicles

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to high standards

• Use computer-aided diagnostic tools (training available if required)

• Follow health and safety standards and workshop procedures

• Communicate clearly and work effectively with the team

Skills and qualifications

Essential

• Experience working as an LCV Technician or Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanic

• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills

• Good knowledge of LCV repairs and servicing

• Attention to detail and commitment to health and safety

• Willingness to learn and train on latest technologies including electric vehicles

Desirable

• Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g. IMI, City & Guilds)

• Experience working in main dealer or commercial fleet environments
