Location: Reading
Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE, OTE £48,000 (Overtime x1.5)
Shift: 14:00 – 22:00, 37.5 hours per week, late shift allowance

We are looking for an experienced Van Technician or LCV Technician to join a busy, professional workshop. You will work on a wide range of light commercial vehicles, performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics to ensure all vans and fleet vehicles remain safe and roadworthy. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with van technician experience, LCV repair skills, or fleet vehicle maintenance expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform major and minor repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles
Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose faults and plan repairs on vans and fleet vehicles
Maintain workshop inventory and cleanliness
Complete service records, customer paperwork, and warranty documentation
Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
Skills & Qualifications:
Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI qualification in LCV or Van Vehicle Repair & Maintenance
Experience with diagnostics, servicing, and repair of vans, LCVs, or fleet vehicles
Ability to identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards
Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
Strong team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
