HGV Technician

Location: Keynsham
Salary: £45,427.20 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts: Night shift – flexible start time
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Join a busy and well-established fleet maintenance team as an experienced HGV Technician working out of a modern depot in Keynsham. You’ll be carrying out service, repair and maintenance to a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers to a high standard, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with MOT requirements.

Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

• Complete scheduled servicing and inspections to DVSA standards

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

• Accurately complete job cards and paperwork

• Support breakdown response when required

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician

Essential

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent

• Experience working on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles

• Confident with diagnostics and fault finding

• Own tools and full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience with DAF or Scania vehicles

• Class 1 (C+E) licence – or willingness to train
