HGV Technician
Location: Telford
Salary: £50,000
Hours: 42.5 hours per week alternating weekly shifts
Week 1 06:00 to 15:00
Week 2 13:00 to 22:00

We are expanding our commercial vehicle workshop and are looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join the team in Telford. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys fault finding, and thrives in a structured and supportive workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
Diagnose service and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards
Carry out routine inspections servicing and planned maintenance
Use diagnostic equipment and software to accurately identify faults
Ensure all work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard
Work closely with workshop and service teams to meet daily targets
Maintain accurate job records and comply with health and safety procedures
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician
Essential
Proven experience working on commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
Professional proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
HGV driving licence advantageous but not essential
Experience working in a main dealer or structured workshop environment
