Vehicle Technician

Location: Reading
Basic Salary: £45,000 plus bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Damage Assessor

• Accurately assess vehicle damage and create detailed repair estimates using Audatex software

• Provide expert vehicle assessments and estimates for repairs in line with industry standards

• Maximise profitability through professional sales techniques and efficient repair scheduling

• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries and concerns promptly

• Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry regulations

• Maximise efficiency and cost control in line with company policies and manufacturer requirements

Skills and Qualifications for a Vehicle Damage Assessor
Essential

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor in a fast-paced accident repair centre or body shop

• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and the latest industry standards

• Experience using Audatex for estimating and assessments

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and maximise profitability

• A strong team player committed to achieving high standards of customer care

Desirable

• ATA Qualified (preferred) or equivalent qualification (e.g., NVQ, IMI, SVQ)
