We’re looking for a skilled Trailer Technician / HGV Trailer Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Shepshed. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on trailers, ensuring all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on trailers

  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently

  • Work closely with a hands-on, supportive team

  • Keep trailers safe and road-ready

  • Maintain accurate workshop records and documentation

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Mechanical experience on trailers, HGVs, or similar vehicles

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Trailer Technician or Mobile Trailer Mechanic

  • Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspension, and axles
