We are recruiting an experienced Mobile Trailer Technician, Trailer Fitter, Mobile HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to support customers across Northampton and the surrounding area. You’ll carry out mobile inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on trailers at customer sites using a fully equipped mobile service unit (MSU). This role suits a technician who enjoys independent field work, quality workmanship, and delivering great customer service.

Key Responsibilities (Mobile Trailer Technician / Trailer Fitter / Mobile HGV Technician)

  • Complete trailer inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs at customer locations

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment

  • Carry out roadside or on-site repairs safely and efficiently to compliance standards

  • Keep accurate job cards, service sheets, and documentation

  • Communicate clearly with customers and the support team to manage workloads

  • Represent the mobile service professionally across Northampton and nearby areas

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Mobile Trailer Technician, Trailer Fitter, Mobile HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician

  • Strong mechanical/diagnostic skills on trailers, HGVs, or similar equipment

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and solve problems on-site

  • Full UK driving licence and a safety?focused approach

  • Own hand tools (fully equipped MSU provided)
