Location: Tamworth
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Shifts: 07:00–15:30 / 10:00–18:30 (alternating, 30?min unpaid break)
Alternate Saturdays: 07:00–11:00, paid at overtime rate

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our Tamworth VMU. You’ll service, repair, and maintain HGVs, commercial vehicles, and trailers to DVSA and manufacturer standards while receiving ongoing technical training and career development.

What You’ll Do (HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter)

  • Service and repair HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles

  • Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic tools

  • Complete inspections, service sheets, and compliance paperwork

  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment

  • Communicate effectively with wider teams and customers

  • Apply ongoing manufacturer training to grow your technical skills

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter, LGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician

  • Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds or 3+ years’ experience

  • Strong diagnostic and fault?finding ability

  • Reliable, professional, and safety?focused

  • Driving licence preferred (car or HGV)
