HGV Technician - 4 On 4 Off Days
Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Salary: £22 per hour (equivalent to £52,624 per year)
Hours: 6:30am to 6:30pm - 4 on 4 off
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Service Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter with proven experience in the commercial vehicle industry. You will work on a variety of heavy goods vehicles, completing high-quality servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Service Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs to manufacturer and VOSA standards
Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Prepare heavy goods vehicles for MOTs and complete safety inspections
Assist other HGV Technicians, HGV Mechanics and HGV Fitters with technical challenges in the workshop
Attend breakdowns and provide roadside repairs when required
Maintain accurate job cards, inspection reports and service records
Ensure all work complies with health and safety guidelines and company procedures
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Service Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Essential
Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
At least 1 year’s post-apprenticeship experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter
Previous dealership or main dealer experience in commercial vehicles
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence
