We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Fitter to join a busy and reputable commercial vehicle workshop in Exeter. This 4 on 4 off shift offers excellent work-life balance, long-term security, and the chance to be part of a supportive and skilled team in a main dealer environment.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
Service, inspect and repair HGVs to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding using the latest equipment
Complete all job cards and compliance paperwork accurately and on time
Work collaboratively with the parts department to ensure timely repairs
Uphold health and safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements for the HGV Mechanic Role / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Fitter
Strong diagnostics and mechanical skills
Full UK driving licence preferred
