HGV Technician

Location: Bristol
Salary: £21/hr
Shift: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday (day shift)

We’re looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join a busy team in Bristol. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to a high standard, helping keep fleets safely on the road.

Your role will be a key part of the team’s success — you’ll work closely with colleagues to efficiently resolve issues, minimise vehicle downtime, and keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities of HGV Technician:

• Carry out routine service and repairs to HGVs

• Identify and resolve faults efficiently, using diagnostics where necessary

• Work to health and safety guidelines at all times

• Support teammates and contribute to a strong team culture

• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly

• Carry out vehicle inspections and prepare for MOT if required

• Ensure workshop, tools and equipment are kept in a clean, well-maintained condition

Skills and Qualifications for HGV Technician:

• Proven experience as a HGV Technician

• Ability to work to a high standard under pressure and to tight timelines

• Full UK driving licence preferred (Class 1 or 2 desirable but not essential)

• Pro-active, adaptable, and motivated

• Team player with strong communication skills

• Awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment
