Location: Carrington
Salary: Up to £38,500
Shift: Monday to Friday

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join a well-equipped and high-performing workshop in Carrington. This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent earning potential, generous benefits, and ongoing technical training.

Key Responsibilities of a HGV Trailer Technician

  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers

  • Complete compliance and service documentation accurately

  • Diagnose and repair faults using EBS systems including HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE

  • Take part in ongoing training including IRTEC, axle/brake, and tail lift systems

  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work

  • Follow health and safety standards at all times

  • Support workshop efficiency and uphold professional standards

Skills and Qualifications for a HGV Trailer Technician

Essential

  • Experience with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles

  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 licence

  • IRTEC accreditation

  • EBS diagnostics experience (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)

  • Welding certification

  • Training with BPW, SAF, or JOST axle systems

  • Experience maintaining tail lifts or lifting/double deck trailers
