Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Hours: Monday to Friday (flexible shifts available)

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and well-established main dealer workshop in Tamworth. Whether you’re known as an HGV Mechanic, LGV Technician, or Fleet Maintenance Engineer, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with commercial vehicles at a high standard, with access to great training and development.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
Service and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards
Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and manual methods
Complete jobs efficiently and record all work carried out
Work closely with the parts department to ensure the correct parts are ordered and fitted
Support your team and communicate clearly to help maintain a smooth workshop operation
Keep up to date with training and any changes in procedures or vehicle technologies
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician
Essential
Experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic, or LGV Technician
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or similar
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong diagnostics and fault-finding ability
Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
IRTEC accreditation
Experience working in a main dealership or fleet maintenance setting
