Basic Salary: Competitive, with overtime available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a busy and professional team as an HGV Technician at a well-equipped site in Portsmouth. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to the highest industry standards, supporting efficient workshop operations and delivering great service.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs to industry standards

  • Diagnose faults accurately and complete all necessary documentation

  • Work collaboratively with your team to ensure high workshop productivity

  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and ensure vehicle safety and compliance

  • Engage in ongoing training to maintain and develop your technical skills

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician
Essential

  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV Maintenance

  • Previous experience working on HGVs

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong teamwork, communication and diagnostic abilities

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 licence

  • Experience with diagnostics and repair systems

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
