Service Advisor

Location: Heathrow
Salary: £28,256.80 – £33,000 DOE (OTE £40,000)
Hours: 47.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 1 in 4 Saturdays: 07:00 – 13:00

Tru Talent is looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our client’s Passenger Car team at their Heathrow site. The Role
As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the full customer service journey from initial booking through to vehicle handover.
You will ensure all service and repair work is scheduled efficiently, maximising workshop capacity while maintaining excellent customer communication at all times. A strong commercial mindset is essential, as you will also actively promote aftersales services including service contracts and additional work opportunities.
This role requires someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and ensures customers are kept fully informed on progress, costs, and completion times.

Key Responsibilities of the Service Advisor:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Manage workshop loading and ensure schedules are accurate and up to date

  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding vehicle progress, updates, and timelines

  • Book vehicles in efficiently, balancing customer needs with workshop capacity

  • Provide accurate, fully inclusive estimates based on customer requirements

  • Produce job cards, invoices, estimates, and associated documentation accurately

  • Clearly explain completed work and identify opportunities for additional sales

  • Raise warranty job cards in line with manufacturer policies and procedures

  • Record all work accurately, including retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs

  • Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure parts availability and workflow efficiency

About You
 

  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar automotive customer service role

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Resilient, motivated, and a strong team player

  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify upselling opportunities

  • Confident using systems and maintaining accurate records
