Shift: Monday to Friday alternating shifts 06:30 to 15:30 or 09:30 to 18:30

We are expanding our workshop team and want a hands-on, motivated HGV Technician to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

  • Carry out servicing maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer and industry standards

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and technical data

  • Complete work in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and safety standards

  • Record work clearly and communicate status updates to the workshop team and supervisors

  • Follow workshop processes procedures and health and safety rules at all times

  • Suggest improvements to processes and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Attend training and development to maintain and improve technical skills

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician

Essential

  •  HGV Technician with proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and maintenance

  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record

Desirable

  • HGV driving licence advantageous but not essential

  • Experience with vehicle diagnostics and fault finding on modern commercial vehicles

  • Previous experience working in a busy workshop environment
