HGV Technician

Location: Burton-on-Trent
Hours:
• Week 1: Monday–Friday 06:00–14:30
• Week 2: Monday–Friday 13:00–21:30
• 1 week in 4 on a 24/7 callout rota
Pay: £40,000–£45,000 basic (OTE up to £70,000)
Job Type: Full time, permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join a busy commercial vehicle operation in Burton. This HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter role offers strong basic pay, a lucrative callout rota, and the chance to work across roadside breakdowns and workshop based diagnostics, servicing and repairs.

The Role:
• Attend and carry out roadside repairs as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
• Diagnose, repair and replace components in line with technical standards
• Report on vehicle condition and identify defects
• Carry out workshop repairs, servicing and maintenance
• Maintain and develop product and technical knowledge

The Requirements:
• Time served HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Experience working on HGVs and commercials
• Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable)
