HGV Technician
Location: Reading
Hours: Monday–Friday, flexible shift options available
Pay: £45,000 basic + overtime at 1.5x
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Reading. This HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician role offers strong earnings, flexibility on working patterns, ongoing technical training and clear career progression, with options to upskill LCV Technicians into full HGV roles.

The Role:
• Carry out major/minor repairs on HGVs
• Perform inspections & preventative maintenance
• Diagnose faults using dealer?level diagnostic tools
• Maintain accurate service records & documentation
• Assist with wheel alignment & tyre fitting
• Ensure high standards of safety, quality & compliance
The Requirements:
• Level 3 HGV Maintenance qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI)
• Experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic
• Ability to identify worn/faulty components to DVSA standards
• Full UK driving licence
