HGV Technician
Location: West Thurrock
Salary: £53,820+ overtime at 1.5x
Shift: Rotating shifts – 45 hours per week Mon-Fri 06:00–15:30 & 12:30–22:00, Saturdays as required

We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or aspiring Master Technician with all-round HGV experience and strong diagnostic skills. The preferred candidate will have experience working to main dealer standards, but experienced HGV technicians with computer-aided diagnostic skills will also be considered. This permanent role offers excellent pay, overtime opportunities, and career progression in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities : HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic/ HGV Fitter
Carry out maintenance and repairs to HGVs and trailers
Diagnose faults using computer-aided diagnostics and repair effectively
Ensure work meets main dealer standards and safety regulations
Support the workshop with routine servicing and inspections
Complete job cards, service sheets, and reports accurately
Work flexible shifts including occasional Saturdays
Stay up to date with technical developments and training
Skills and Qualifications: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic/ HGV Fitter
Essential
Level 3 HGV Technician qualification or Time served
Proven experience working on HGVs
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Full driving licence (Class 1 HGV desirable)
Desirable
Experience working to main dealer standards
Advanced computer-aided diagnostic experience
