HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter 

Location: Bristol
Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour (40-hour week)
OTE: £52,000
Shift: Rotating early and late shifts (06:00–14:30 / 13:30–22:00)
Overtime: Paid at time and a half (£31.50 per hour)
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Our Client in Bristol is expanding their workshop team and looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join their growing operation. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a main dealer environment, offering ongoing manufacturer training, structured progression, and access to the latest diagnostic technology.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

• Carry out servicing, inspections, and repairs on a variety of HGVs

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults

• Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately

• Complete all job cards and documentation correctly and on time

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Essential
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Proven HGV maintenance and repair experience
Full UK driving licence

Desirable
Dealership background
HGV Class 1 licence
