Location: Trafford Park
Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 per year
Shift: 4 on 4 off, 06:00 – 18:00

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy Service Department, working on a wide range of commercial vehicles and trailers. You will carry out servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and complete repairs to manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles/trailers

• Diagnose faults and perform vehicle tests

• Complete warranty, contract, and retail documentation accurately

• Undertake preventative maintenance to reduce customer costs

• Support team and follow instructions from your Shift Supervisor

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician:

Essential

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

• Experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles

• Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach

• Full UK driving licence

• Friendly, professional, and confident communicator

• Ability to work under pressure and independently or as part of a team

Desirable

• HGV driving licence

• Manufacturer training and technical knowledge
