Salary:  £19.21 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 06:00 to 14:30 and 13:30 to 22:00 (rotating weekly)
Overtime: Alternate Saturday mornings paid at enhanced rates

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter to join a busy and well-equipped workshop. This is a great opportunity to work with a reliable, forward-thinking company offering ongoing support, progression, and a steady Monday to Friday shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician

  • Service, inspect and repair HGVs to DVSA and manufacturer standards

  • Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge

  • Maintain accurate service records and job documentation

  • Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely completion of jobs

  • Ensure workshop health and safety procedures are followed at all times

  • Support colleagues and help maintain a clean and efficient working environment

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician

Essential

  • Experience in HGV maintenance and repair

  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ or City & Guilds) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

  • Confident diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding skills

  • Ability to work on rotating early and late shifts

Desirable

  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence

  • IRTEC qualification

  • Previous experience in a dealership or fleet workshop environment
