Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Hours: Day shift, 40 hours per week with flexible working
Salary: £50,500 - £66,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Goods Vehicle Engineer to join a busy, well-established commercial vehicle service operation. This hybrid role will involve working across multiple sites in Bournemouth and the surrounding area, supporting operational workshops and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform servicing and repairs on HGVs, adhering to high industry standards

  • Diagnose mechanical defects accurately and efficiently

  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and workshop teams to meet operational targets

  • Apply a positive, proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Maintain clear communication and detailed documentation of repairs and progress

  • Follow company processes and procedures while aiming to exceed performance targets

  • Keep work areas tidy and safe

  • Travel to different locations as required to provide technical support, vehicle troubleshooting, and repairs

  • Assist in resolving issues with new vehicles experiencing teething problems

  • Support multiple dealer sites and customers as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid driving licence with a good driving record

  • Full HGV licence is essential

  • Proven experience as a qualified HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Engineer

  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent

  • IRTEC or equivalent accreditation

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A committed, team-oriented approach with a “can do” attitude
